The International Women’s day is celebrated on 8th March at SGG Janta Girls College, Raikot by IQAC of college under the supervision of madam Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Rajni Bala. The purpose of celebrating Women’s Day is to raise awareness about the status of dignity of women among the students. At the beginning of program, Ms. Nidhi Mahant delivered a short speech which included history and importance of Women’s Day. On this event, various videos regarding fitness advice for women, importance of Yoga for stress free life and self-defense techniques were presented in smart classroom of PG Department of Computer Science and Applications.

Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Rajni Bala presented her views on this special occasion. She accented the importance of this day by women’s right in every aspect of life. She also advised the students to be career conscious and economically independent.

An E-Poster Making competition was conducted and many of the students participated and shown their creativity in this competition. E-certificates will be given to the participants and winners.

The program was concluded by proposing the vote of thanks by Mrs. Sarla Saggar, HOD Music Department, SGG Janta Girls College, Raikot.
