Swami Ganga Giri Janta Girls College, Raikot a peer educational  Institution, was established on May 23, 1973 in the memory of Swami Ganga Giri ji, a saintly character who was deeply impressed by the Arya Samaj and its founder, Swami Dayanand Ji. He laid stress on girl education and worked sternly for it.

 Swami Ganga Giri Janta Girls College, Raikot is one of the leading educational Institutions of rural area. Being founded on the ideals of Swami ji, it has been moving in giant strides towards realizing its much cherished goal of imparting value-based, career oriented quality education for girls ever since its establishment  in 1973. The college caters to the academic, co-curricular and sports related requirements for empowering girls by developing their all round personalities so as to enable them to move confidently in the society.

The College is affiliated to Panjab University, Chandigarh. Principal of the College is Dr. (Mrs.) Rajni Bala. Various Degree stream course(s) runs in the College. The College offers many facilities for students overall growth like Language Lab, Hostel facility, Transport facility, Meditation room etc. Pollution free atmosphere, verdant grounds, beautiful lawns with flowers, plants and trees further enhance its beauty and grandeur.
